Heckscher State Park: Campground Opens for 2026 Season

Heckscher State Park in East Islip opens its 69-site campground for the 2026 camping season on Saturday, May 23. Sites accommodate tents and trailers; nightly rates are $25 on weekdays and $30 on weekends. Reservations are required and can be made at ReserveAmerica.com. The campground has flush toilets, a dump station, and shower access at the park bathhouse. The park is at the end of Heckscher State Parkway in East Islip.
