Huntington Veterans Plaza Memorial Day Wreath Ceremony — Ghost Army Tribute

The Town of Huntington holds its annual Memorial Day wreath-laying at Veterans Plaza at noon, honoring this year the classified Ghost Army — the 23rd Headquarters Special Troops, a WWII unit of 1,100 artists and engineers whose deceptions helped prevent tens of thousands of Allied casualties. Wreaths placed at seven monuments. Public welcome; arrive by 11:45 a.m. Parking in the municipal lot off New York Avenue.
