North Hempstead Beach Park Free Kayak Demo Day

North Hempstead Beach Park in Port Washington hosts its annual free kayak and paddleboard demonstration day on June 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the park's shoreline launch area. The event is run by the town's Parks and Recreation department in partnership with a local paddlesports outfitter. No experience needed; certified instructors lead all demos. Life jackets provided. Free parking at the park lot off West Shore Road. Registration is not required.
