Everything you need to know about this beloved monthly event featuring local artists and galleries in Huntington Village.
The Huntington Village Art Walk has become one of Long Island's most beloved monthly cultural events, drawing art enthusiasts, families, and curious visitors to the charming streets of Huntington Village on the first Friday of every month.
The Art Walk features over 30 participating galleries, studios, and pop-up exhibitions along Main Street and New York Avenue. Local artists display original works ranging from contemporary paintings and sculptures to photography and mixed media installations. Many galleries offer complimentary refreshments, and artists are often present to discuss their work. Huntington has long been a hub for women entrepreneurs driving Long Island's business boom, and the Art Walk reflects that creative spirit.
The Art Walk runs from 6 PM to 9 PM. Street parking is available, and the Huntington parking garage on Gerard Street offers convenient access. We recommend starting at the west end of Main Street and working your way east, finishing with dinner at one of the village's excellent restaurants. The featured gallery this month is showcasing a stunning collection of Long Island landscape photography. The interactive mural project on Wall Street is also a must-see, with a new section being completed each month by rotating local artists. The Art Walk is part of a broader cultural scene supported by organizations like the New York State Council on the Arts and promoted through the Huntington Arts Council, which also lists upcoming events and artist opportunities across Long Island. If you enjoy local arts and culture events, you won't want to miss the ListenUp! Spring Carnival Music & Arts Festival coming to Patchogue this season.
