April 11, 2026

The Waterdrinker Tulip Festival runs April 18 through May 1, 2026, at Waterdrinker Family Farm in Manorville and a second location in Riverhead. With over 3 million tulips in bloom, Dutch cultural experiences, and some of the best photo opportunities on Long Island, here is everything you need to plan your visit.
The festival runs daily from April 18 through May 1. The Manorville location (895 Main Road) is the main site. Tickets are $20 on weekdays and $25 on weekends for Manorville. The Riverhead location runs a flat $20 any day. Kids under 3 are free at both spots.
Buy tickets online at water-drinker.com — they do sell out on peak weekends, so don't wait until you're in the car.
Plenty. The Dutch culture angle is real — there's a windmill, wooden clogs you can try on, an Amsterdam Walk-Through experience, and Dutch Pilsner on tap for the adults. Kids get barnyard animals, jump pads, and plenty of room to run.
Dogs are welcome on leash, which is a big deal for families who don't want to leave the pup behind.
This is an Instagram magnet and people plan outfits around it. Five spots worth hitting:
Pro tip: weekday mornings are dramatically less crowded. If you can swing a Tuesday or Wednesday visit, your photos will be noticeably better.
The farm is mostly on grass and gravel. There are 2 accessible parking spaces near the entrance. Wheelchairs and strollers can navigate the main paths, but the deeper field rows can be soft after rain. Call ahead if you have specific accessibility questions.
Manorville is about an hour from western Nassau, 30-40 minutes from central Suffolk. Take the LIE to Exit 69, then head south on Wading River Road to Main Road. Parking is free in a large gravel lot.
The Riverhead location is a shorter drive for North Fork residents and has its own parking.
Tulips are weather-dependent, but the festival is timed for peak bloom. Late April — around April 22-28 — is typically the sweet spot. Earlier in the festival you'll see more closed buds; later you'll catch the fullest blooms but some early varieties may be past peak.
