State police announced the extensions to manage traffic and security for the event, which draws tens of thousands of visitors to Farmingdale.
Round Swamp Road from Winding Road to Quaker Meeting House Road closed Monday at 9 a.m. and stays shut until Monday, Sept. 29, at 6 a.m. This full closure supports practice rounds and event setup at Bethpage Black, with no access from the north to the Walk-in Gate on Round Swamp Road.
Quaker Meeting House Road faces intermittent closures daily from 4:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Sunday, Sept. 28. Clubhouse Road from Bethpage State Parkway closes except for rideshare vehicles, 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily starting today.
Troop L Commander Major Stephen Udice oversees heightened security, with weapons banned in the park except for authorized personnel.
