Farmingdale's annual St. Patrick's Day Parade steps off at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, from Northside School down Main Street to Village Green. Join Grand Marshal Brian Harty for bagpipers, marchers, and family fun in the Culinary Quarter Mile.

As Long Island shakes off winter with early spring blooms along the Bethpage Parkway, Farmingdale's St. Patrick's Day Parade delivers the island's biggest burst of green on Sunday, March 15, 2026, starting sharp at 2 p.m.
The parade kicks off from Northside Elementary School, heads south down Main Street, and ends at the Village Green, 361 Main St., in Farmingdale Village. Grand Marshal Brian Harty, Village Administrator and Clerk/Treasurer, leads the marchers, floats, bagpipers, and green-clad families. Meet at Northside School by 1:30 p.m. to line up; Main Street closes temporarily for the event.
Free to attend and family-friendly for all ages. Sponsored by the Farmingdale Business Improvement District and Village of Farmingdale, with thanks to Joe Fortuna of The Nutty Irishman, Farmingdale Fire Department, and Chamber of Commerce.
Groups, clubs, and individuals can march—register via QR code, email Joe Fortuna at joef@thenuttyirishman.com, or call 516-293-9700. Post-parade, hit the Culinary Quarter Mile for lunch or dinner at downtown spots like those along Main Street, 18 Main St., and beyond. Shamrock photo ops await at Village Green.
This beloved annual tradition packs downtown with Irish spirit, local organizations, and community pride. Explore shops, breweries, bars, and eateries in the heart of Farmingdale, home to the Culinary Quarter Mile. The Farmingdale Union Free School District has long been a pillar of this tight-knit community, and that same local pride shines through events like this parade. With extended road closures already on the horizon for the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black, residents are making the most of downtown Farmingdale while they can.
