Patchogue residents faced a serious week with two collision victims hospitalized, a Holbrook Road burglary, and a homicide investigation on Middle Country Road.

Patchogue experienced a challenging week with multiple serious incidents, including two separate collisions that sent residents to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk, a residential burglary, and an active homicide investigation that drew law enforcement to Middle Country Road.
Two separate traffic incidents in Patchogue resulted in residents being transported to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk for non-life-threatening injuries, according to Suffolk police. Both collisions occurred on Tuesday, with the first incident starting around 11:15 a.m. and the second at approximately 12:30 p.m. Authorities did not release additional details about the circumstances or locations of the crashes, but both victims received treatment at the hospital.
Detectives are investigating a residential burglary on Holbrook Road where a suspect climbed through an unlocked rear window on March 23 and stole approximately $300 worth of jewelry. The incident highlights the importance of securing all entry points, especially windows and doors, as warmer weather approaches and residents spend more time outdoors.
Homicide investigators were called to a location on Middle Country Road just before 10 a.m. on Thursday, according to a spokeswoman. Details about the incident remain limited as the investigation continues.
Patchogue residents concerned about these incidents should report any information to Suffolk County Police. Stay informed about local crime trends and safety updates by following LI Daily's Crime & Public Safety coverage.
