Reiffman Group's $8.2M project at 700 Old Country Road in Plainview advances with facade and interior upgrades. The 33,000-sq-ft facility aims to attract top healthcare providers.

Reiffman Group's $8.2 million redevelopment of a key Plainview medical office at 700 Old Country Road is pushing forward, bringing modern upgrades to this busy healthcare hub.
The Rockville Centre-based firm bought the 33,000-square-foot building on 2 acres, once called Central Park Plaza Medical Arts Center, for $6.7 million. Now 80% occupied, it will get $1.5 million in capital improvements to draw leading regional healthcare providers.
Work includes a sleek new facade with metal panel accents and upgraded glazing. Entryways gain fresh canopies and lighting. Inside, expect new flooring, wall coverings, lighting, artwork, and a redesigned lobby and waiting area for better patient flow.
Energy-efficient windows and doors join refreshed landscaping with new plantings, paver walkways, and site lighting. ADA-compliant access points and clear wayfinding will boost accessibility for visitors near local spots like Plainview's shopping strips.
"This redevelopment reflects our continued commitment to enhancing the quality and design of healthcare real estate across Long Island," said Ross Reiffman, president and CEO of Reiffman Group. The project fits into their $100 million healthcare real estate initiative in the NY metro area. Earlier, they spent $7.8 million on a Smithtown Bypass diagnostic imaging center, adding to the momentum behind Smithtown's major park and facility upgrades already underway in 2026.
Plainview sees more action: Helen Keller Services for the Blind just leased 14,978 sq ft at the newly renovated 303 Sunnyside Blvd., bought by Melville's Peconic Equities for $12.05 million in late 2024. Millions in renovations by Mojo Stumer Associates are wrapping up, building on the area's broader momentum seen in the $15M Sunnyside Blvd reboot already underway.
Meanwhile, EW Howell Construction Group, based in Plainview, keeps delivering big projects, though recent ones hit Manhattan schools. These moves signal Plainview's growth as a healthcare and business hotspot.
