The Downtown Sound Beach Spring Festival returns April 25 with vendors, food trucks, and live music from 11am to 4pm.

The Downtown Sound Beach Spring Festival and Street Fair is back on Saturday, April 25, bringing vendors, food trucks, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities to Sound Beach Boulevard. Here's everything you need to know before you go.
The festival runs from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. along Sound Beach Boulevard between Huntington Road and North Tyler Avenue. The street will be closed to vehicle traffic for the duration of the event, creating a pedestrian-friendly experience through the heart of downtown Sound Beach.
Admission is free. Parking is available in nearby lots and side streets, though organizers recommend arriving early as spots fill quickly.
The street fair will feature a mix of local artisan vendors, craft booths, food trucks, and community organization tables. Past years have drawn dozens of vendors selling everything from handmade jewelry and pottery to locally produced honey and baked goods.
Live music will be set up along the boulevard, and kids' activities — including face painting and games — will be available throughout the afternoon. Local businesses along Sound Beach Boulevard will also have their doors open with special promotions.
The spring festival has become an important anchor event for Sound Beach's small business community. After a challenging few years for small retail, events like this drive foot traffic and introduce residents to shops they might not visit otherwise.
"These street fairs are about more than just one day of sales," said one local shop owner. "They remind people that we're here, and that downtown Sound Beach has a lot to offer."
The festival also comes just weeks after Sound Beach made headlines when a brush fire highlighted the area's vulnerability to the dry spring conditions affecting all of Long Island.
If you can't make Sound Beach, the weekend of April 25-26 is packed with activity across the island. The Hoarder's Flea Market at various locations kicks off its grand opening season, and Earth Day cleanup events continue into late April. Check our events coverage for more weekend plans.
Sound Beach is located in the Town of Brookhaven, accessible via Route 25A. The nearest LIRR station is Port Jefferson, about a 15-minute drive west. Plan for congestion around the festival area between 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
